Committee on Membership & Evangelism

Overview

Works very closely with the Pastor to see that the word of God is taught throughout the church; to help he people to discover Jesus' way of life and make it their philosophy of life; to make available to the membership and other evangelistic literature (tracts, leaflets, brochures, etc.); to conduct evangelist services in the church and the community (jails, hospitals (if permitted), streets, etc.); to promote visitation evangelism; to follow through on new members; and to sponsor programs and project to win souls for Christ.  

- The committee may be representative of the various boards and auxiliaries of the church to be sure off adequate outreach in the membership.  

- If such activities are to be lead by a board, then the appropriate persons should be members. The board or committee should function the year round.
